Too tired for trying to be deep
and what's coming won't keep
And gets plenty deep on its own
a sinking stone
and the ripples spread out
change regret and doubt
deep revision and pause
and no escape clause
except the elephant of the hour
What feels like weakness
could be power
or is that wishful thinking
to ease to sleep
these waters are too damn deep
