2.3946 : 2/21/16 : Grasper of Empire

Teach me great one

from beyond

the other side of

the great campfire

every illusion

every soft calling

throwing down every

grasper of

empire

too late again

missing my chance for quiet

no reclaiming

but I'll learn this round

not even going to

try to fix it

I'll go peaceful

not a sound

what

2.3056 : 09/14/13 : God Emperor of Rome

God Emperor of Carthage

God Emperor of Troy

We'll hit a few towns on the way back

What can I say I'm a growing boy

God Emperor of Dresden

God Emperor of Pompeii

Staring at a smoking mountain through dark shades

Wondering how it felt when the sky went away

God Emperor of Hiroshima

God Emperor of Detroit

You been mean and ugly for a long time

and no loopholes left to exploit

God Emperor of Babylon

God Emperor of Rome

The fire wasn't the end or beginning

It fell all the same and so will every home

God Emperor of Rome

God Emperor of Rome

Someday even the names

will disappear like foam

God Emperor of Rome

101 Curious Professions 101/101(fin): God Emperor

what

2.2817 : 01/18/13 : Slop

I'll just sling some slop out
for the pig of my ambition
well and far beyond the point of
feeling I am on a mission
no it seems more a random walk
engaged in by a drunken crab
and bad enough the every day
the runaround, the daub and drab
paste on my imaginary
empire of almighty text
It shouldn't be a task for you
to see how it is I am vexed
and waiting for the next insult
and waiting for the axe to chop
and while I wait dear pig of mine
I'll sling another cup of slop

what

2.2548 : 4/24/12 : Fish Creek (Mt. Metaphor 17/58)

Not the castle
not the ancient road
not an empire island at all
middle of M.T.
parked at Fish Creek
cooling our heels in Whitehall
What kind of fish
you got in your creek
how much for a room for the night
it's real quiet
nobody much around
and I think I like Whitehall all right

what

2.2066 : 12/29/10 : Empire

This won't hurt
no try you something new
tell me the truth babe
can you feel my Empire
calling you?
Alexander, Charlemange
the Turks
this time we've got
a formula that always works
it takes some faith
a taste for what is true
close your eyes and feel
my Empire is inside of you

what

2.1703 : 12/31/09 : Get Crazy

I'll work backwards
I'll get crazy
I can't exclude any method
that makes the mark
hazy
I just got up
lay it all down
don't let me see a
wrinkle
or frown
I know what I'll be doing
I'm going to get down to
bug-a-booing
don't laugh I'm serious
and my line up to
this point has been
imperious

what

2.1055 : 3/23/08 : Little Fish (Seventyseven: 60 of 81)

Cook that little fish

what an empire what a dish

no demons

no spirits

I’m harmless

Yeah hear it

let’s call it a truce

call it a day

all the benefits of life

no one need pay

what

2.1052 : 3/20/08 : Status Quo (Seventyseven: 57 of 81)

Uphold this empire by the status quo

but you’ll need something special to win this war

but the world just needs to be left alone

I know what’s within, I know what it’s for

keep it all upright covered in laws

and we just all become poorer

We keep ourselves armed right up to the teeth

the confusion grows ever more

So many the brightest and the best

Pretty soon it all gets strange

the finer, more grand this edifice of law

the more you’ve got robbers and thieves on the range

transformation proceeds when I hole up tight

You all get into your regular groove

I stay aloof and you all get rich

sweet simplicity: I’m sure you’ll all approve
