How far have I come
well how long has it been
not all up and down
not all sweat and tin
stop trying to keep score
stop seeing a race
drill down on the core
beating heart strong in space
like a jewel on a line
monofilament mount
one at every crossing
hanging jewels beyond count
each one a pure heart
I have only to pluck
when it's been so long twice
I'll no longer be stuck
