Noon to midnight
the transfer fails
I better turn it in early
despite lost trails
the first station
is lost in the mist
and the past
is a velvet fist
I am beseeching
no idea to whom
with no hope to avoid
the decline
nor the tomb
but if it's not now
I better make this next transfer stick
and I'm not yet clear
so you better stand back when I kick
