Even in deep slack
I rack a stack
of little battles
versus entropy
and still feel
rust dulling my steel
considering what others face
can only sigh in empathy
this world's
got a mean streak
wide as the Mississippi
through both poles
and the equator
and the foolish debt
we've all run up
will surely hit
and sure will leave a crater
