Seven years on
I should express gratitude
I mainly beat the new worm
and less pain's no platitude
Some long hard years
plenty of blood
mystified as to the cause of it
way out clear as mud
of course the grind came in
stole most of the gain
pulled out of the red spiral
So much for less random pain
but I've got to be real
and give a real thanks
at least until life
pulls the next of its unholy pranks
