I've used the phrase "angel eyes" many times in the songs, I don't know why. While it suggests many possible references (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_Eyes) I'm always thinking of the same one - Lee Van Cleef representing "the bad" in The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. In the original script Van Cleef's character is called "Sentenza" (Sentence) - Van Cleef suggested that Clint Eastwood ad libbed the nickname into the English version of the movie (http://www.leevancleef.com/interview.htm)
