Am I looking in all the wrong
places for light
underneath the brass bed
on the wrong side of right
Though I read that the light
in the dark was the word
I could not find the place
where the thing could be heard
am I fleeing the light
and its obvious source
Am I just holding out
till the thing runs its course
the light in the darkness
the pitch of the bell
on a black painted sign
at the bottom of a well
