The independent
sovereign state at war
now everyone became
what all deplore
an ugly spectacle of waste
but what the hell
we all had the taste
for the spice of blood
in our narrative
so dreary the lot
of all who merely wish to live
peace and good fortune
where's he poetry in that
said the troglodytes
as the took the best to the mats
a grim spectacle
but with a handful of
bright gems
seems a poor trade
for us left holding
a dozen dry stems
