Realistic progress
not a gripping yarn
but it's the game for us mostly
from the boardroom to the barn
from the field to the factory
the increment
the only downside gawping
at how all the time just went
I can't plead ignorance
not at my age
there's just the daylight
what I get down on the page
oh how I try to take it
all just one stroke at a time
piling little progress up
while I'm still in my prime
