There was an attempt
to make measure
of just how far I strayed
from my true treasure
of how long an extension
I bought for the latest
series of contemplations
how I still could be the greatest
Someday sure I'll count the cost
write out a list of every item tossed
but today I'll write a zero
and start the count
five by five supplied
a fair amount
