did you notice that it’s
absolutely no help to me
did you notice knowing what’s insane
is all but useless in these parts
a counterpoint to sanity
that heaves and stalls in fits and starts
and your great works of clarity
gave birth to children not so sane
even perhaps the monsters of
this reckless age’s reaction chain
