The machine
is barely functioning
everything is getting phoned in
while the unmanned drones all honed in
on the
assets of interest
surely we can trust their judgment
was for the best
never send moral meat
to do a machine’s job
history’s replete
with such lessons straight as a plumb bob
if it simply stops where will it lead us
the majority who think
seem to think that it will cleave us
sundered
post-society
no more civil order no more propriety
I myself
can’t begin to envision
better for peace
not so great for decision
