631 : 1/1/00 : Real Prosperity (Flesh and Bones: An Homage 78/101)

Father to father son to son
Real prosperity is in the progression
Who can hold onto time at all
And you’re lucky if you wind up
as a painting on the wall
Father to grandfather son to grandson
3 generations and a hundred years are gone
Look how it changes never stays the same
At least they’ll carry on the family name
It’s the order of things I guess
It works out in the long run
but the details are a mess
Real prosperity is just in the day
Fathers or sons for the moment anyway
