528 : 9/20/99 : The Helix and the Caduceus

Now the big machine unrolls the scroll for us
The patterns are revealed in a handful of dust
The serpent and the tree the helix and the caduceus
can you find coincidence in what you see
the fruit is very sweet but the enlightenment is bitter
the ball is small and I’m a very shaky hitter
the lion and the lamb, a God who calls himself I am
after all this time you would expect at least a telegram
Jesus, Buddha, Jim Jones, Vishnu
Koresh,, Yoda, Orpheus too
Zoroaster, Kant and Nietzsche
Every crazy mystic teacher
In the clay or on the moons of Jupiter
And if you don’t believe it you couldn’t be stupider
the templates of life are spinning as we speak
and by all indications they still haven’t hit their peak
